12 brilliant Aston Villa fans and players celebration pictures after dramatic win over Crystal Palace

In photos, here’s how Aston Villa’s fans and players celebrated the dramatic late Premier League victory over Crystal Palace.

Aston Villa earned a historic Premier League victory against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, coming back from 1-0 down in the 86th minute to win 3-1 after stoppage time.

It all seemed as if it was going to be a frustrating afternoon as Moussa Diaby had a first-half goal ruled out for offside and Odsonne Édouard gave Palace the lead just after the interval.

But Unai Emery, the players and the Villa Park faithful had other ideas as they aimed to take home all three points, let alone just equalise. That’s exactly what they did – and in style.

Jhon Durán kickstarted the dramatic final quarter of an hour as he netted a thunderous half-volley in the 87th before midfielder Douglas Luiz netted from the spot 11 minutes later.

The Villans’ very late penalty was a controversial one as it took a rigorous five-minute VAR check to stick with Darren England’s on-field decision, but it was converted emphatically.

Leon Bailey then put the game beyond doubt in the 11th minute of added time, latching onto a deep, driven Moussa Diaby cross and finishing clinically at the far post to make it 3-1.

The atmosphere at Villa Park was understandably one of the best seen in recent history and 12 pictures have summed it up wonderfully. Flick through the gallery pages to see them all.
