Aston Villa blew much-fancied Brighton away with six goals against the Seagulls in the Premier League

Aston Vila smashed six goals past Brighton today to record a 10th consecutive victory at Villa Park.

Ollie Watkins recorded a hat-trick in the eye-catching victory - his second of the season - while Jacob Ramsey and Douglas Luiz also got in on the act as the visitors were humbled in front of 40,636 spectators.

Moussa Diaby’s scuffed shot midday through the first half, which deflected in off Pervis Estupinan, also contributed to a win that leaves Unai Emery’s side claiming maximum points from their past three Premier League games.

The fans certainly went home happy. But here’s a reminder of what went down at Villa Park this lunch time as Villa continue to build on an impressive start to the season.

Villa’s next game is against Bosnian side Zrinjski Mostar in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
