Aston Villa v Man United injury and team news - seven out and two doubts

Latest injury and team news ahead of Aston Villa v Man United at Villa Park - including an update on Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Aston Villa hope to put their midweek disappointment behind them as they host Man United in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Villains were knocked out of the FA Cup by Chelsea with a late Moussa Diaby goal not enough as they fell to a 3-1 defeat to the Blues. Villa were shell-shocked by Chelsea's start and never recovered after going three goals down. Unai Emery's side now have just the Premier League and their UEFA Europa Conference League campaign to focus on.

United on the other hand did not need a replay in the FA Cup and defeated Newport County a few weeks ago. They did have to wait to find out who their opponent would be however and it was revealed to be Nottingham Forest as they beat Championship opposition Bristol City on penalties.

The two sides met at Old Trafford on Boxing Day and the Red Devils won that 3-2. John McGinn and Leander Dendoncker scored to give them a 2-0 lead but Alejandro Garnacho scored a brace and then Ramus Hojlund netted his first league goal for United. It was the first time in Emery's stint that Villa had lost a competitive game having gone in front.

Villa's Boxing Day defeat also represented the last time that Lucas Digne played for the club. The French left-back has been nursing a hamstring injury and has been on the sidelines for more than a month now. He was initially meant to be out for three weeks but his recovery has continued in to Februar. A return might not be too far away but he isn't expected to feature against United.

Here's the latest injury and team news ahead of Sunday's clash. The match sits at the primetime slot of 16.30 pm on a Sunday and will be broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
