Latest injury and team news ahead of Aston Villa vs Fulham in the Premier League

Aston Villa hope to round off a good week as they host Fulham at Villa Park in the Premier League on Sunday, November 12.

The Villains have put themselves in a good position to progress to the UEFA Europa Conference League knock-out rounds after defeating AZ Alkmaar on Thursday night. Villa fell behind to Vangelis Pavlidis effort but Diego Carlos equalised and then Ollie Watkins won it 10 minutes from time. Villa remain in second behind Legia Warszawa but are six points clear of Zrinjski and Alkmaar, and a win next time out would confirm their place into the next phase.

Fulham are hoping to make the most of any tiring legs from Thursday, and come into the game off the back of a late defeat to Manchester United. Bruno Fernandes scored in stoppage time at Craven Cottage to leave the Cottagers empty handed having been under the cosh for most of the game.

Ten places and 10 points separate the two sides going in to the match with Villa in fifth and Fulham in 15th. Marco Silva's side are six points above safety, whilst Villa are just two points off of a Champions League spot. Last weeks defeat to Nottingham Forest derailed Villa's progress a slight bit, but after winning in midweek they should be in good spirits, as they aim to finish on a high going into the November international break.

The last time the two sides met there were wins apiece in the 2022/23 campaign. Fulham won 3-0 back in October 2022 when Steven Gerrard was in charge and then Tyrone Mings scored the only goal as Villa beat Fulham in the most recent meeting in April 2023.

Are there any knocks to consider from Villa's win against Alkmaar? Are any Fulham players nursing any injuries having missed the United defeat? Without any further ado, here's the latest injury and team news from both the Aston Villa and Fulham camps ahead of kick-off on Sunday.
