Aston Villa v Chelsea injury and team news - 15 out and two doubts

Latest injury and team news ahead of Aston Villa v Chelsea in an FA Cup fourth round replay at Villa Park.

Aston Villa and Chelsea meet at Villa Park for an FA Cup fouth round replay on Wednesday (February 7) night.

The two sides could not be separated at Stamford Bridge with neither side able to find the net. The fifth round draw has already been done and whoever wins will host the victor of Leeds United versus Plymouth Argyle.

Scoring goals weren't an issue for Villa on Saturday as they put five past Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. John McGinn, Ollie Watkins, Leon Bailey and Youri Tielemans all scored within half-hour and then Alex Moreno inflicted further damage on the Blades with an effort just two minutes in to the second period.

Chelsea suffered defeat at the Bridge on Sunday however losing 4-2 to Villa's Midlands rivals Wolves. The hosts took the lead through Cole Palmer but Matheus Cunha responded with a hat-trick and an Axel Diassi own goal gave Gary O'Neil's side a valuable lead, Thiago Silva's effort in the 86th minute brought the game to within two but it wasn't enough to inspire a comeback.

Mauricio Pocchettino's side are a whole 13 points off of fifth which is a Europa League spot and so they may need to remain in the FA Cup and win it should they want to return to the European stage next season. Villa are fourth in the league standings and are currently on course for a Champions League spot.

Both sides have had their fair share of injuries this season with Chelsea having it a little worth off. Emery and Poch both have players they won't be able to call upon again this term after suffering season-ending injuries.

The last time this match was played the transfer window was still open and despite Villa making some new signings, they won't be eligible for tonight. Here we take a look at the latest injury and team news ahead of Wednesday night's clash under the Villa Park floodlights.
