The two Premier League teams are said to be keeping a close eye on Valencia forward Hugo Duro as they seek to bolster their attacking ranks.
Duro, a former Spain Under-21 international, scored a career-best 13 goals in 37 La Liga appearances last term, also notching four assists. It was a huge campaign for the 24-year-old, who had scored merely eight league goals combined in the two seasons prior.

Hide AdCaughtOffside reports Villa and West Ham are locking horns ahead of potential winter swoops for Duro having scouted him consistently over recent months. It’s stated that both clubs see Duro as an option who could bring ‘dynamism’ to their respective attacks.

It’s claimed that Unai Emery believes Duro has the attributes and playing style to adapt to the Premier League quickly, with an immediate contribution to Villa’s goalscoring efforts likely. West Ham are also taking a look, though, with Julen Lopetegui fond of Duro’s energy and pace.
With Champions League football on offer, Villa would have the upper hand in the race but West Ham are likelier to provide consistent game time. The report from CaughtOffside states Valencia will ask for a fee of around €30 million (£25 million) to let Duro depart.
