Where Aston Villa & Wolves would rank in Premier League table if only domestic goal scorers counted

The top flight table looks incredibly different in this fascinating alternative view particularly for Steven Gerrard’s side who rank much higher than in the real life standings.

With the Premier League very much entering its final stages, things are hotting up at both ends of the table.

Wolverhampton Wanderers aren’t out of the race for the top four and a place in next season’s Champions League yet but it looks unlikely they will be able to achieve that feat now.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa find themselves comfortably in the middle of the table and will look to try and win each game as it comes to finish as high up as they can.

Clubs across the country now head into a short break, with international football taking centre stage for the next couple of weeks, and with that in mind, we’ve taken a look (via Transfermarkt) at how the top flight table would currently look if only goals from English players had counted this season - and the outcome is eyebrow-raising to say the least.
