Birmingham City are reportedly keen on signing Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor before the end of the January transfer window.

According to The Athletic, Blues are understood to be among the clubs interested in taking the former Charlton Athletic striker on loan until the end of the season.

Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis joined Forest on loan this month and his impressive form means manager Steve Cooper will now allow Taylor to leave on loan, according to The Athletic.

Taylor has scored just eight goals in 61 games for the East Midlands club, but if Blues do get the deal over the line, it will mean Taylor is reunited with his former Charlton manager Lee Bowyer.

During his time under Bowyer, Taylor scored 35 goals for the Addicks.
