After a thrilling group stage, the Vitality Blast T20 tournament has reached the quarter final stage.

Eight teams will now be vying for one of the four places at the Finals Day at Edgbaston, including Birmingham Bears.

When is the Quarter Final?

Birmingham Bears play the Hampshire Hawks in the second of four quarter finals. This is due to take place at Edgbaston Cricket Ground on Thursday, 7 July with the first ball being bowled at 6.30pm.

How did Birmingham reach the knockout stage of the competition?

Birmingham finished top of the Vitality Blast North Group table after winning nine of their 14 group matches.

With two points for a win, this put the Bears on 18 points, level with Lancashire Lightning and Derbyshire Falcons.

The top four from the North Group made it through to the quarter final stage, to play the top four in the South Group.

Yorkshire Vikings were the fourth club from the North Group to reach the last eight, with Surrey Somerset, Essex Eagles and Hampshire Hawks qualifying from the South Group.

The four quarter finals take place across four days, starting with Surrey v Yorkshire Vikings at The Oval on 6 July.

Saturday 9 July:  Somerset v Derbyshire Falcons (Cooper Associates County Ground - 7.00pm start)

Can I get tickets to the match?

Birmingham Bears are pushing to have as many fans at Edgbaston as possible for this one, with hopes of seeing a crowd of around 10,000.

Tickets go on general sale at 3pm today (4 July) and adult tickets start from £10 in advance and £15 on the day, children aged between 12 and 15 and £1 and children under 12 can attend for free.

Tickets can be purchased through the clubs website.

Sales & Marketing Director Alex Perkins at Warwickshire Cricket Club said: “We’ve been working with ECB over the last few weeks to try and accommodate a home quarter-final at Edgbaston, despite the LV= Insurance Test Match and Vitality IT20 taking place in the same week.

“We’re delighted that we’ve been able to make this work and give our Members and fans the opportunity to support the Bears in a big quarter-final at home.

“We hope Members, fans and the local community will come out in force to make it a memorable occasion and we have reflected this ambition with a one-off pricing model in order to create another special Edgbaston atmosphere.”
