Birmingham has always had a thriving music and clubbing scene.
The 80s and 90s were brilliant decades for the city’s nightlife.
In the 80s, the iconic Rum Runner nightclub on Broad Street became the place to be for music fans as the venue played a significant role in the New Romantics scene in the city - hosting a number of Birmingham's up-and-coming bands at the time, including Duran Duran.
And who can forget The Dome, Faces International and more. In the 80s and 90s, Broad Street went from a neglected area to party central with all its bars, restaurants and clubs, and like today, there were plenty of brilliant restaurants located around the city centre for people to try.
