The fully automatic LatteGo model prepares six hot and iced drinks and is currently Amazon’s bestselling bean-to-cup machine

Amazon has reduced the Philips 3300 Series bean-to-cup coffee machine to £266 in a limited-time deal, cutting £303.99 from its stated £569.99 RRP.

The 53 per cent saving brings the fully automatic machine down to less than half price, offering an alternative for coffee drinkers who want freshly ground drinks without mastering a traditional espresso machine.

It can prepare six hot and iced coffee options, handling everything from grinding the beans to dispensing the finished drink. Selections are made using a touchscreen display with coloured icons, keeping the process closer to pressing a button than performing a full morning barista routine.

Milky coffees are prepared with the machine’s LatteGo milk system, which automatically produces froth and adds it to the drink. The container consists of two parts and has no tubes, making it less fiddly to clean than milk systems with narrow internal pipework.

That could be particularly useful for households where lattes and cappuccinos are made regularly. Milk systems are often among the messier parts of owning an automatic coffee machine, so the simpler design is one of the more practical features of the Philips 3300 Series.

Coffee strength, drink length and milk froth can be adjusted through the My Coffee Choice function. This allows different members of the household to tailor their drinks rather than accepting one fixed recipe from the machine.

Fresh beans are ground using a ceramic grinder with 12 settings, ranging from fine to coarse. Ceramic grinders are designed for durability, while the adjustable settings give owners more control over how their chosen beans are prepared.

Philips has also equipped the bean-to-cup coffee machine with its SilentBrew technology. The manufacturer claims this makes operation 40 per cent quieter, which may appeal to anyone making coffee early in the morning or using the machine in an open-plan kitchen.

Its removable water tank has a 1.8-litre capacity, reducing the need to refill it after every couple of cups. An automatic cleaning function is included, although routine rinsing and descaling will still be required, as with other bean-to-cup machines.

The listing suggests the discounted Philips coffee machine has already attracted considerable attention. At the time of writing, it is ranked as Amazon’s number one bestseller in the bean-to-cup coffee machine category, with more than 400 bought during the past month.

Customer feedback is broadly positive, with the machine carrying an average score of 4.3 out of five from 184 ratings. Reviews and sales rankings can change, but they provide useful context for buyers comparing it with less familiar models.

A bean-to-cup machine remains a sizeable kitchen purchase, even with a substantial reduction. However, it does not require proprietary coffee capsules and lets owners choose their preferred beans, strength and grind setting. Running costs will depend on the coffee and milk used, together with cleaning and descaling products.

Amazon describes the £266 Philips coffee machine offer as a limited-time deal, meaning the price could rise or stock could sell out without warning. Anyone considering it should check the latest price and delivery details before ordering.

At £303.99 below the stated RRP, the reduction makes the Philips 3300 Series considerably more accessible for households looking to move from pods or instant coffee to freshly ground drinks.
