Biscuit giants McVitie’s are launching a unique initiative named the ‘Biscuit Butler’ which is a home delivery accessible exclusively via Uber Eats, allowing you to elevate your home movie night experience.

This offer from the brand is available in Birmingham, London and Manchester between Wednesday and Friday this week, with the offer going live in Birmingham on February 10.

How does it work?

The McVitie’s Biscuit Butler will arrive at your door, with goods in hand, consisting of McVitie’s new luxury Blissfuls biscuits and other treats, so you can get your perfect movie night underway in style.

This comes as it has been revealed that 78% of Brits say that they prefer to watch the latest flicks in the comfort of their own home, with their own snacks in hand.

In addition to the McVitie’s Blissfuls, those who book the Biscuit Butler will get a luxurious hot chocolate accompanied with a beautiful mug and completed with an atmospheric scented candle, making it the ultimate night in.

McVitie’s brand new Blissfuls are available at selected supermarkets, and are baked golden biscuit with smooth Belgian milk chocolate cream filling, and is available in either chocolate or hazelnut flavour.

This new butler roll-out, available just before Valentine’s Day, was inspired as a survey, which included around 2,000 Brits, concluded that 50% would love to get movie snacks delivered direct to their sofa.

The survey was conducted by 3GEM on behalf of McVitie’s in January 2022.

Perhaps the most surprising stat to be revealed from this survey, is that average Brit was found to watch five movies per week at home, with 78% of those in the survey stating that they prefer to watch the latest movies at home.

The research also said the most ‘joyous’ films from the last 25 years that we love to watch at home, and this is:

  1. Mamma Mia!
  2. Love Actually
  3. The Greatest Showman
  4. Bridget Jones’s Diary
  5. Billy Elliot
  6. Paddington 2
  7. Shrek
  8. Up!
  9. School of Rock
  10. Elf

David Titman, Marketing Director for McVitie’s at pladis UK&I, said: “We all love a night in with a good movie or binge-worthy boxset, and our favourite treats on hand.

“McVitie’s Blissfuls were made with these moments in mind, as the perfect indulgent treat to elevate an evening in. We hope they bring a bit of bliss to all biscuit fans – we think they’re just too good not to share!”
