She told her 1.4 million followers that she felt “vulnerable” and unable to defend herself as she explained what happened.

Speaking from inside her car, Liberty said: “He basically looked me up and down and all of a sudden he was on his phone, and he was following me and looking at me around the aisles.

“I said to the guy [a store assistant] like ‘look I feel really off about this guy out there just to let you know’ and when I was doing my shopping, he went outside and waited in his car.

“I said to the security guard ‘please may you walk me to my car’ and by the time he seen me ask the security guard, he left so I thought it was safe. I then walked up to my car, and he followed me to my car.

“I had shopping bags and a parcel in my hand, so obviously I wouldn’t have been able to defend myself.

“He said ‘excuse me’, and I don’t swear but I literally said so loudly ‘no, f** off’, like so so loudly that I think it scared him and he drove off.

The Dancing on Ice star included a short message for men, urging them to leave girls alone. The 23-year-old said: “Please, please, please do not follow girls on their own. They don’t want the attention and you’re going to scare them.”

She also told her female followers to trust their “gut instinct” and to ask security guards for help if needed.

Liberty said: “If you have a gut instinct or you think something is off, please just be safe. Just be safe because I thought he was gone and then he followed me.”

The reality TV star concluded the emotional video, saying: “Just please be safe out there girls, and boys. It can happen to anyone really.

“If you think something is up, do something about it.”
