Two arrested following a baby’s death
A man and woman have been arrested following the death of a boy in Birmingham. Police were alerted to a one-year-old in cardiac arrest at an address near Edgbaston on Saturday evening. Both were arrested on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of a child and bailed while enquiries continue.
Man in critical condition after crash
A man is in critical condition after a crash in Shirley on Sunday. Both drivers stayed at the scene, but a 36-year-old man was arrested by officers on suspicion of drink driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been interviewed and released pending further enquiries as the investigation continues.
