Matthew Bramwell has been charged with a public order offence causing harassment, alarm or distress

A man is due at court today, (Tuesday, June 6) in connection with homophobic chanting at the Wolves vs Chelsea game in April.

Matthew Bramwell was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence causing harassment, alarm or distress the same day.

The 21-year-old from Staffordshire has now been charged with the offence and is now due to appear before Dudley Magistrates Court.

A statemennt from West Midlands Police, read: “There is no place for discrimination in football, or society in general, and we will always fully investigate any reports we receive.”
