Winson Green factory fire: Firefighters fighting blaze, residents to avoid the area

Fire fighters have been called to attend a blaze in Winson Green, Birmingham. Metro lines were impacted to allow crews to tackle the fire but all lines and roads are now open.

Over 30 firefighters are dealing with a factory fire on Radnor Street in Winson Green. Residents have been asked to avoid the area and keep all windows and doors closed.

West Midlands Fire Service are using equipment such as hydraulic platform and drone to work quickly to contain and extinguish the fire affecting the ground floor of a factory.

Crews from West Bromwich, Perry Barr, Aston, Ladywood, Smethwick, and Oldbury are in attendance.
