Birmingham companies are owed almost half a million after Wilko collapsed and was placed into administration.
The first Wilko store opened in 1930 by JK Wilkinson in Leicester, and after almost 100 years in business, the company has had to close its doors.
Companies House documents show that the company owed £625 million, including £548 million to unsecured creditors, when they collapsed. Wilko owed several hundreds of companies across the world as well as in the UK, the documents revealed.
