Around 500 Blues fans joined a protest against the club’s owners before the match on Saturday (January 22).
They marched from the city centre to St Andrew’s stadium urging Birmingham Sports Holdings to sell the club.

Birmingham City fans chanted “we want our club back” and “time to go” during the protest, which took place before Blues beat Barnsley 2-1.
West Midlands Police said flares were let off during the procession as the protesters reached St Andrew’s - and that some of the protesters tried to force their way into the ground.
And more flares and smoke devices were directed at the club.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers and stewards had to intervene, but there were no injuries and no arrests were made.”
However police added that a further smoke device was used during the match which caused injured several stewards.

The spokesperson said: “ Fortunately their injuries are minor. One person was arrested for this.
“Fortunately, there have been no further incidents.”A post-match investigation will take place and CCTV will be reviewed as part of this.
