West Midlands Mayor Andy Street says he is isolating after testing positive for Covid-19.

Mr Street, aged 58, discovered he had the virus following a routine test over the weekend.

He announced that he had tested positive for the illness on his twitter account and said the he was “feeling OK and really glad to be double jabbed”.

He also reminded others to take care as the virus is still circulating and to get vaccinated and tested regularly.
