Approved by the West Midlands Combined Authority, the zone spans the entire region. The Birmingham Knowledge Quarter will benefit from a £9 million investment, while the Wolverhampton Green Innovation Corridor receives £7 million.

These developments are part of a broader 25-year plan targeting advanced manufacturing, green industries, and emerging technologies. The first-year plans will soon be submitted to the Department for Housing, Levelling-up, and Communities for approval, ensuring funds are released promptly.
