A weather warning was initially placed on north east Scotland, but it seems the miserable weather has touched down in the Midlands.
The week has a damp start as light showers hit the city on Tuesday afternoon with highs of 7.8m of rainfall.
Skies will become increasingly cloudy and a slight breeze is expected.
Wednesday will be the calmest with day-long clear and breezy skies as well as moderate sunshine.
The end of the week is when the weather is at its worst, as strong winds strike Birmingham on Thursday with 74km/h gusts.
Experts, AccuWeather, have forecast at least three-and-a-half hours of rainfall with a flood warning for areas with poor drainage.
The weekend will be marred by frequent showers which are at its heaviest on Friday, though there are dry periods on Saturday and Sunday with brief sunny intervals and consistent temperatures of 14℃.
However, there is the possibility of low visibility on Sunday with a thick cover of cloud, a slight breeze and intermittent rainfall.
