Storm Darragh: When the storm will hit Birmingham and West Midlands with 60mph winds forecast
The Met Office has issued a severe amber warning for parts of the UK with Storm Darragh set to bring heavy rain and wind this weekend.
Weather warning for wind is in place today (December 5) until Sunday (December 8).

Hide AdWind gusts of up to 48mph are forecast in Birmingham at around 6pm tonight, with gusts of 60mph and 62mph forecast between 9am and 12pm on Saturday morning (December 7). The wind weather warning is in place until Sunday.
A statement on the Met Office website said: “Strong winds associated with Storm Darragh is likely to lead to some disruption and damage.
“There is a slight chance of some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs. It is likely that some roads and bridges could close, with impacts from falling trees.”

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Very unsettled on Saturday with heavy rain and very strong winds. Turning colder on Sunday and Monday with showers and blustery winds easing. More in the way of sunshine developing.
