Despite the weather warming up across the country this month (May), the Met Office has issued a weather warning for Birmingham this weekend.
Birmingham and the wider region had temperatures of up to 23 degrees on Thursday (May 4), with plenty of glorious sunshine across the region, too.

Hide AdBut a yellow weather warning has now been issued for the city on Sunday (May 6). The Met Office has issued a warning for thunderstorms in Birmingham on Sunday. Temperatures are expected to reach 22 degrees on Sunday, with a warning for thundery showers in place throughout the day.
According to the Met Office, there will also be some light rain on Monday (May 13) with temperatures falling to around 16 degrees. But there’s better news for Saturday, with temperatures expected to be at around 23 degrees with sunny intervals throughout the day.

Tonight, (May 5):
Staying dry overnight with clear spells across the region. Light winds will allow some patchy mist and fog to develop by dawn. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
Saturday:
Remaining dry to start the weekend with blue skies and prolonged sunshine. Feeling pleasantly warm with light winds. Maximum temperature 24 °C.
Heavy and thundery showers likely on Sunday before rain and blustery winds return from the southwest on Monday and Tuesday, and feeling cooler.
