Here’s what we can expect in Birmingham over the Easter period

Easter will see many people coming together for family events and to enjoy what is hopefully a pleasant start to spring. Weather conditions will therefore have a significant part to play in whatever plans you may have.

The Met Office has now detailed the forecast for the Easter weekend, which kicks off with Good Friday on April 18. The four day weekend will then come to a close on Monday April 21.

In Birmingham and across much of the West Midlands, the weather on Good Friday is expected to be dry but largely cloudy, with sunny spells possible.

Temperatures are expected to reach around 15 degrees on Friday, with similar temperatures throughout the weekend with sunny spells on Saturday and Sunday, too.

Easter Monday won’t be much different with overcast skies and mild temperatures expected.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Often changeable over the Easter weekend with cloud and spells of rain, or showers. Some brighter interludes possible at times with temperatures near normal and often breezy.
