Here’s exclusive pictures of how Storm Arwen affected Birmingham

People across the UK awoke to snow, and serious property damage after Storm Arwen tore through the country on Friday evening and Saturday.
Birmingham was hit hard by the winter conditions, with heavy snow falling throughout the night and settling.

Hide AdPeople took to social media to share their reactions as well as videos and pictures of their picturesque snow covered gardens over the weekend.
Most were overjoyed with the appearance of the snow, calling it ‘magical’ and sharing images of the festive scenes.
While the snow was a happy sight for most, it left a lot of people across the region with cancelled plans and events due to debris from the violent winds.
Across the UK some people were snowed in certain places, and the image below doesn’t look too far from it.

Hide AdThe snow was not the worst of the weather to hit the city over the weekend. The scary winds that accompanied the storm reached speeds of almost 50mph, causing serious damage.
The high winds caused serious damage to multiple buildings in Birmingham.
This picture of a roof being torn off numerous flats and shops along a main road has made serious headlines, and is just one of many instances like it.
