Easter 2023 Met Office weather forecast for Birmingham - including Good Friday and Easter Monday

Easter will see many people coming together for family events and to enjoy what is hopefully a pleasant start to spring. Weather conditions will therefore have a significant part to play in whatever plans you may have.

The Met Office has now detailed the forecast for the Easter weekend, which kicks off with Good Friday on April 7. The four day weekend will then come to a close on Monday April 10.

The early indication is that Birmingham is in for a relatively mild and dry weekend. The warmest day of the weekend looks set to be Easter Sunday, where temperatures could reach 15C.

If outdoor events, such as BBQs or garden parties are on the agenda, then you’ll be on the lookout for sunny weather. Good Friday is set to be the sunniest of the four day weekend but there may still be some clouds, with temperatures peaking at 12C in the afternoon.

Saturday and Easter Monday look set to be very similar in terms of weather. Both are set to be cloudy, but temperatures should reach mild levels and peak at roughly 13/14C.

Met Office forecast for West Midlands

Tuesday April 4

After a frosty start, another fine day with plenty of sunshine, particularly during the morning. High cloud increases from the west later, turning the sunshine hazier towards the evening. Feeling pleasant in the sun, and with light winds. Maximum temperature 14C.

Staying dry overnight, although becoming increasingly cloudy from the west into Wednesday morning. Becoming breezy, and although milder than in recent nights a local ground frost is possible. Minimum temperature 2C.

Wednesday April 5

A rather cloudy day is expected. It will be mostly dry during the morning, although some outbreaks of rain will feed across the region from the west during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 12C.

Outlook for Thursday April 6 to Saturday April 8

Showers and longer spells of rain on Thursday, but turning drier and brighter later. Mostly dry with sunny spells on Good Friday and Saturday, although breezier later. Temperatures around average.
