Birmingham is for another week of cold temperatures as the Met Office weather forecast predicts the cold weather is staying most of the week. While many of the country’s yellow weather warnings are looking to lift this week, the weather will most likely continue to be cold and freezing at least until the weekend.

Monday (December 12) starts off with ice, frost and freezing fog, but the yellow weather warning in place for ice and fog is set to lift at 11.00am. The day will continue mostly sunny and dry once the fog has lifted but there is a risk of very isolated snow flurries. Maximum temperature will not exceed 1 °C.

Later on toward the evening temperatures are set to drop once again to below freezing. Freezing fog will once again form and it will feel very cold with some sharp frost and risks of icy patches. Minimum temperature -5 °C.

The freezing fog will most likely linger into Tuesday before lifting to make way for a mostly dry and sunny but cold day. Temperatures will most likely not exceed 3 °C.

As the week continues, the weather will stay mostly in the same fashion. Cold nights will lead to overnight frost and fog which will clear up during the day for mostly dry and sunny but cold days with just a slim chance of snow.
