A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms has been issued for the south east of England over the August Bank Holiday (August 26-28) - and it doesn’t cover Birmingham. However, thunder and heavy showers are expected over the weekend.

Several outdoor events are taking place as the summer holidays begin to draw to a close in and around Birmingham such as the UB40’s Homecoming gig at the Moseley Park, the Páirc Festival in Kings Heath and The Crooked House Festival in Lichfield as well as the free festival Birmingham Weekender in Birmingham city centre. To prepare for the adverse weather, it’s best to be prepared with rain-proof gear and brollies to hand.
