As we move towards the end of the week, sub zero temperatures are forecast with Birmingham City Council gritting teams out from 7pm last night (Wednesday, January 12).

But we can expect clear skies with no apparent chance of rain across the West Midlands, and temperatures should reach highs of somewhere around 9 degrees.

Then on Friday, well we can expect even more clear and sunny skies throughout the whole region, and things also should remain fairly dry. Temperatures should likely reach highs of somewhere between 9 and 10 degrees.

And as we move into to the weekend, on Saturday, once again we can expect more clear and sunny skies, and temperatures of around 7 degrees.

Then moving on to Sunday well once again we can expect things to stay sunny and clear, with temperatures of around 8 degrees, then on Monday we can expect more clear skies, and temperatures should likely be somewhere around 7 degrees.
