Birmingham weather: Met office update for last weekend of summer holidays - will it be warm?

The last weekend of the summer holidays (September 2-3) is coming up and parents and children will be getting ready to enjoy the remaining time before schools return and make the most out of the last days of summer.

If you plan to head outdoors in Birmingham, the weather forecast will be important to get ensure how to prepare yourself for the weekend. Whether you need to carry some rain-proof gear or bottles of sunscreen with you will depend on the Met Office’s forecast for the weekend.

Friday (September 1)

The Met office said there will be mist and fog that will lift into low cloud - which will be clearing through the morning. Thereafter, it will be sunny with a chance of isolated heavy downpours, as well as a few thunderstorms. It will feeling warmer with maximum temperature at 21 °C.

Saturday (September 2)

It will be a cloudy start to the day with any low cloud, mist and fog patches gradually lifting. In the afternoon, there will be sunny spells with just a small chance of a shower. Maximum temperature 22 °C.

Sunday (September 3)

For Sunday to Tuesday - it will be warmer with a more settled spell of weather for most of the time. There could be some clouds and fog in the mornings but otherwise it will be largely dry and bright with some sunshine at times. For more information on the weather, visit the Met office website.
