It's the centrepiece of the whole day - Christmas Dinner gets us all around the table to enjoy some great grub together. I'm out here today on the streets of Birmingham to speak to the people here and find out which part of that special meal people love the most.

Lauren says: “My favourite thing on a Christmas dinner is probably pigs in blankets. You know, they're not, they only really come out at Christmas time. You know, you don't see them any other time of the year. And generally they're quite tasty.

"I think something that not a lot of people agree on is we put Yorkshire puddings on our Christmas dinner. Because I know a roast isn't complete without a Yorkshire pudding, I don't think. And what else do I like? I like cranberry sauce. I'm not a fan of Christmas pudding. We don't really have that on our Christmas dinner.

Sam says: “It's got to be the Yorkshire puddings, surely. It has to be, surely. Although, I do like the cranberry sauce. I know it comes out of a jar and it's probably really processed, but it's amazing. And I think everyone should have it. But in terms of our Christmas dinner experience, yeah, I think we're going to her mum's this year. So her mum will do it.”

Abi says: “My Christmas dinner experience would be my mum cooking for three days solid. I'm a vegetarian and she always makes me a parsnip roulade. So that would be my favourite ingredient of a Christmas dinner and always makes me think of my mum.”

Paul says: “I like the roast potatoes and the Yorkshire puddings. I'm not a Christmas pudding fan. I like the wife’s apple pies and that. But generally, I do enjoy Christmas dinner with the family.”

Jake says: “So my favourite Christmas dinner part of it is definitely pigs in blanket. It's got to be. It's the only time of year you have them, really. And just covered in gravy. They're just excellent. Excellent. Christmas dinner at my mum's house normally consists of a dinner bigger than you can eat. And I normally finish it every time. Everything's all laid out on the table.

"You get your standard roast in front of you. And then all the extra trimmings are all in bowls all on the table. And you just, everyone just picks what they want on the plate and they take that. And I mean, by the end of it, you haven't got room for dessert because you're just stuffed. And then you're ready for a nap. Yeah, you have a nap. Yeah, I have a nap every year. So Christmas Day for me is get up, open presents, wait for dinner and then sleep until bedtime and then get to sleep, really.”
