Tributes paid to daughter who was murdered in Small Heath

Tributes have been paid to a 27 year old woman who suffered fatal knife wounds in Small Heath yesterday. Shannon Stanley was found at a property in Mount Pleasant and pronounced dead at the scene. A 27 year old man named Pablo Hoad was arrested from an address nearby and has been charged with murder.

Community asked to choose names for two new rail stations in south Birmingham

Transport bosses are asking residents to choose the names of two of the new train stations opening in south Birmingham. In Stirchley, there is a three-way choice between Hazelwell, Stirchley and Pineapple Road, while in Moseley the choice is between Moseley and Moseley Village.
