A woman who was found dead in her home in Stechford has been named. Twenty-four year old Lucy Powell is said to have been killed by Gregory Duhamel,aged 47, before taking his own life by hanging. Family have paid btribute to a brilliant, loving mother.

The number of homeless people living in Birmingham has increased by11.5% in the past year. According to the council this increase is said to be a result of the pandemic, the lifting of the eviction ban, the furlough scheme ending and the increased cost of living.
