Man arrested in Birmingham for Texas synagogue attack

A man has been arrested in Birmingham, alongside another man in Manchester, as part of the investigation into the Texas synagogue attack by British national Malik Fasail Akram. Greater Manchester Police say Counter Terror Police will continue to support US authorities and that the men remain in custody for questioning.

Man arrested after woman dies suffering head injuries at her Erdington home

A 29 year old man has been arrested following the death of a woman two days after being found at home with a severe head injury. The 55 year old victim from Erdington was found on Sunday 16th and passed away Tuesday. The police say their investigation is on-going.

17 storey hotel planned for Birmingham city centre

A new 17-storey hotel featuring a Sky Bar is set to be built in the Paradise development after planning officials recommended that the plans get the go-ahead. The 152 bedroom complex would be located alongside One Centenary Way.
