West Mids Railway urging passengers not to travel tomorrow.

A weather warning is in place for Birmingham with Storm Eunice set to hit the region. West Midlands Railway have urged passengers to avoid travel on Friday due to the extreme weather anticipated. Wind gusts of up to 56 miles per hour have been forecast.

Calls for the new Great British Rail HQ to be based in Birmingham

A new campaign has been launched by Birmingham’s Conservative Group to bring the Great British Rail Headquarters to Birmingham. The new public body would manage the country’s rail infrastructure, as well as set timetables and ticket prices. The government has stated they want the headquarters to be based outside of London.

Police appeal after teenager is stabbed in Birmingham city centre.

Police have issued an appeal after a teenager was stabbed on Steelhouse Lane. The incident took place at 5:30am on Wednesday. The 16 year old boy was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be serious. Police are encouraging anyone with information to get in touch.
