West Midlands to launch UK’s largest hydrogen bus fleet after securing £30m Government funding

124 new hydrogen fuelled buses will be taking to the streets of the West Midlands following the approval of a £30 million grant from the department of transport. 20 of the buses are already in circulation, but this scheme will give the region the largest fleet in the Western World.

39 Recommendations made in a council report to tackle race discrimination in healthcare

A report into tackling structural racism in healthcare has been released, detailing 39 recommendations about how Birmingham can do better. The research calls on the NHS to recognise structural racism and discrimination as drivers of ill health, and to offer cultural competence training.

Ukrainian rock band denied chance to play at Resorts World charity concert - after being pictured holding guns

A top Ukrainian band has been denied an opportunity to play at the Concert for Ukraine due to their members having been seen bearing arms. Organisers have said that the concert has a purely humanitarian purpose. The two hour concert headlined by Ed Sheeran takes place Tuesday evening at Birmingham’s Resort World Arena.
