Bin workers in Solihull have confirmed they will be taking strike action in a bid to secure a pay rise in line with the current industry average. The strike will see almost 100 refuse workers walk out for five days from 28th March, and will affect thousands of homes in the borough.

Commonwealth Games road closures unveiled - more than 200 roads will be shut during the games

Details of the traffic and parking management plans for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games have been revealed with more than 200 roads set to be affected. Restrictions will be in place from 26th July to 31st August. Information on the restrictions are available on the Birmingham 2022 website.
