Airport delays cause passengers to miss flights

Birmingham Airport said that 20 passengers missed their flights after being forced to ask customers to queue outside the terminal on Monday. The airport said they took the decision as a total of 7,500 were booked to fly before midday. Queues quietened down later that day.

Man arrested following attack on woman in Handsworth Wood

A 21 year old man has been arrested for attempted murder following the stabbing of a 56 year old woman in Handsworth Wood last night. West Midlands Police were called to a property on Beachburn Way at 9:25am. A spokesperson said they believe the man to be known to the woman who remains in hospital.

Brothers jailed following attack on police officers in West Bromwich

The two brothers who committed a knife attack against two police officers in West Bromwich following a stop check have been jailed. Parminder and Maninder Hunjan were both found guilty of wounding with intent and were jailed for 10 and eight years respectively.
