Bartley Green murder victim named.

West Midlands Police have named the man killed in a knife attack in Bartley Green last friday as Steven McCarran. The 51 year old suffered multiple knife wounds during a disorder in Grazebrook Croft. A 20 year old man has since been arrested, and police are appealing for more information.

Taxi driver dies in road collision.

A taxi driver has died and two others have been hurt following a collision in the early hours of Sunday. The 60 year old driver suffered a medical episode while at the wheel and crashed into another vehicle in Great Barr. He later suffered a cardiac arrest en route to the hospital and despite efforts could not be revived.

St Patrick’s day festival returns to Birmingham

Birmingham saw the return of it’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations on Sunday, marking the 70th year since Irish heritage has been celebrated in the city. While the parade was cancelled this year due to roadworks, many events still took place throughout the city - and will continue through the week.
