Thousands of Birmingham families made homeless in the pandemic

Over 5000 households in Birmingham fell into homelessness during the first 18 months of the pandemic, almost half being households with children. Housing charity Shelter have expressed concern that rising living costs will now place even more people at risk.

Hundreds of Peaky Blinders fans are planning to head to the World Premiere of Series 6 this evening

The red carpet screening of the first episode of Peaky Blinders series 6 is being held at Cineworld on Broad street. The series follows the lives of Brummie gangsters in the early 20th century. Steven Knight - the creator of the show who was brought upon in Small Heath says he is proud to launch the latest chapter in his hometown.
