Man jailed for supplying firearms

A  21 year old man from Birmingham has been jailed following an investigation into a suspected organised crime group involved in the supply of firearms in the West Midlands. Khalid Khan was sentenced to nine years and nine months at Birmingham Crown Court.

Man dies after M6 collision

A man has died following a crash on the M6 near Birmingham on Monday. The West Midlands Ambulance Service was called just after 7am to reports of a three vehicle collision between junctions 4 and 3.

Stop the War demonstration in Birmingham

Demonstrators once again gathered in Birmingham city centre on Monday evening to protest against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Organised by Birmingham Stop the War Coalition, around 100 people took part in the protest outside the Bullring, which was held to oppose the expansion of NATO , and to demand that Russia withdraw its troops and resume diplomatic negotiations to resolve the crisis.
