Birmingham MP Liam Byrne to be suspended from the House of Commons for bullying

Hodge Hill Labour MP Liam Byrne is set to be suspended from the House of Commons for two days for bullying a member of staff. The former cabinet minister has apologised for his conduct against former staff member David Barker who worked in his Birmingham Hodge Hill constituency.

Drug addict mum jailed for 20 years for death of son

A drug addict whose seven year old son died alone from an asthma attack after she used his inhalers to smoke crack cocaine has been jailed for 20 years. Laura Heath was convicted of gross negligence manslaughter last week after the boy was found dead in a garden in Nechells in November 2017.

First look at 103 Colmore Row business members’ club in Birmingham city centre

One of Birmingham’s tallest skyscrapers is opening an exclusive members club called Eighteen. The club at 103 Colmore Row, opposite Snow Hill Station, will offer access to a business lounge with dining and bar facilities, meeting rooms, space for events and a range of informal break out areas.
