Mum’s partner jailed for minimum 24 years for murder of 3 year-old

The father of Kemani Watson Darby has paid tribute to his son who was murdered by his mother and her partner. Alicia Watson and Nathaniel Pope were found guilty at Birmingham Crown Court on Tuesday for causing the three year old’s death. They were sentenced for 11 and 24 years respectively.

Hospitals urged to prioritise needs of staff - including providing hot meals to night shift workers

NHS bosses have said that hospitals must prioritise the fundamental needs of staff. It has been said that there needs to be more focus on providing material essentials, such as hot meals, more staff and car parking spaces, rather than grandiose measures such as offering wellbeing sessions.

Gold for Commonwealth Games display at Chelsea Flower Show

A display which celebrates Birmingham’s status as host city for the 2022 Commonwealth Games has earned the city council its tenth consecutive gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show. The display combines the city’s most iconic landmarks and the various exhibitions coming to the games.
