Human remains found in Cuckoos’ Nook

West Midlands Police are investigating after human remains were found near Cuckoos’ Nook in Walsall on Saturday afternoon. The area was cordoned off for forensic recovery. The discovery is currently being treated as unexplained and the incident has been referred to the coroner.

Police release CCTV of care home burglary suspect

CCTV showing a suspect of a burglary which took place at a care home in Erdington has been released by West Midlands Police. Investigators wish to speak to the man pictured after someone broke in and stole a bag from inside. The man attempted to punch a member of staff who stopped him as he tried to leave.

Lee Longlands celebrates 120 years

The landmark Birmingham furniture store Lee Longlands is celebrating its 120th anniversary. The company was established in the city in 1902 before opening its flagship art deco store in Broad Street 30 years later. The new management have promised ambitious plans for the showroom’s future.
