Cost of living crisis - 3 Birmingham constituencies in top five to be worst hit, with all 10 below level of vulnerability for England

New research pinpoints the areas in the UK where families will be least able to withstand the cost of living crisis. Every constituency in Birmingham has scored below the national average in terms of financial vulnerability, with Hodge Hill, Ladywood and Erdington among the worst in the UK.

Investigations continue into a fatal collision in South Yardley

A man has died following a collision on Coventry Road in South Yardley. The passenger, a man in his 60s suffered serious injuries following the collision between a Mercedes and a Mazda. The drivers were taken to hospital and remain in stable condition. Police are urging any witnesses to come forward.

Rabbit rescue centre sees increased demand for new homes

A rabbit rescue centre in Hampton-in-Arden in Solihull has seen an increase in bunnies seeking a new home. Fat Fluffs believes the higher demand is due to people returning to work following the Covid pandemic and no longer being able to care for them.
