There have been over 65,000 cases of flytipping in Birmingham since the start of 2020

Birmingham City Council has revealed the true scale of fly-tipping in the city. Since January 2020 there have been 65,877 incidents of flytipping. However, according to the Department for environment, food and rural affairs the flytipping rate is below the national average.

Sandwell burglar jailed after CCTV footage of his crimes was shared on social media

A Sandwell man has been jailed following a series of burglaries across the Black Country after CCTV was shared on social media. Adrian Stanton committed several offences across Wednesbury and Walsall. He pleaded to two burglaries and was sentenced to three years in prison.

Commonwealth Games searching for volunteers to help with the opening and closing ceremonies

The search begins to find performers and dancers to take part in the Commonwealth Games opening and closing ceremonies. Birmingham 2022 is looking to fill 2,000 roles, and successful applicants will perform in Alexander Stadium to a worldwide audience of up to one billion people.
