Extra measures in place for Clean Air Zone fines
Councillor Ian Ward has apologised following a number of incorrect fines being sent out under the city’s Clean Air Zone. Birmingham City Council have said it is working with the government to improve on the current technology to increase its accuracy.

Hide AdFour weapons have been recovered and six arrests made following the increase of police stop and search powers in Birmingham city centre. The measures have been put in place to combat youth violence in the city. Overall 185 young people were encountered, with 34 dispersal orders having been issued.
Tram services to be fully restored in the city centre
Tram services in the city centre are set to be restored fully by the end of this month. All tram services in the West Midlands were suspended in November when cracks were discovered, and a section of the route between Wolverhampton and Bull Street restarting before Christmas.
