Covid cases rise by 26% in Birmingham

Covid cases in Birmingham have risen by 26.3% in the week ending the 24th March with 5341 cases reported. Highest rates are reported in the region are in Belchers Lane & Eastfield Road.  Across the UK the rising rates of coronavirus are generally beginning to slow down.

Terrifying moment a police officer thought he was going to die in knife attack in West Bromwich

Two brothers have been found guilty following a knife attack on police officers in West Bromwich. Parminder and Maninder Hunjan launched the attack following a stop and search, and were found to be in possession of a stash of weapons and large quantities of cash. They are set to be sentenced in May.

Teen found guilty of killing Dea-John Reid who was stabbed to death in Birmingham

A teenager has been found guilty of killing Dea-John Reid who was stabbed to death in Kingstanding last year. The stabbing was treasured as racially aggravated and in retribution for an earlier robbery attempt. The teenager has been convicted of manslaughter and will be sentenced in May.
