Birmingham business men in court accused of selling face coronavirus testing kits online

Two men have appeared in court accused on selling fake coronavirus testing kits on the dark web. Stephen Beckford and Ron Huss-Smickler are said to have imported the kits from China at the start of the pandemic. Both have entered not guilty pleas and will stand trial on 20th March.

Birmingham student flees Ukraine

Haider Ali from Birmingham - a British student who fled Ukraine has claimed that many were rushing to leave ahead of the potential turmoil should Russia invade. The Dnipro Medical Institute where he studies have urged students to take advantage of the commercial flights while they were still available.

Street Artist Akse’s mural to Peaky Blinder’s Tommy Shelby has been unveiled in Digbeth - revealing the start date of the sixth and final series. The hit BBC One show following the lives of post-war gangsters in Birmingham will return to screens on the 27th February.
