Birmingham leaders want another 75,000 people in work

A coalition of leaders from across Birmingham are urging the Prime Minister to deliver the levelling up agenda. The coalition want an additional 75,000 people in work and to boost the city economy by up to £9 billion.

The Director of Aston Performing Arts Academy has said it will no longer perform at corporate events unless there are more black people at the tables than on stage performing. Tru Powell said that outside waiting staff, the performers tend to be the only black people in thevenue, and that they hope Birmingham understand their decision.
